Snowpixie, again with apples to oranges?
This is NOT HEALTH CARE, it is forced insurance and Does Not Guarantee any form of health care if you have not gotten it in your insurance policy in writing. It Does Not make health care costs drop, lower or automatically be paid by someone else it IS INSURANCE policies SALES ONLY.

Forced insurance ?
There is a meaningless buzz word.
Insurance does not ever work without a critical mass.

My point in the quickest way possible,
Cooter, how would you like policy # 001 from
Bygeezes Mutual ?

But while Cooter will get all Kellyanne Conway on me for this, he has demonstrated how conservatives don't understand insurance because it is both complicated and seems to give people money ...but he has unwittingly made a great point for a universal single payer plan.

My thoughts exactly.

Liberals don't believe insurance works.

If there is a need due to age, having a family to attend, considerations for potential illness or injury at home(as in farming) then yes I find insurance is a necessity, not a forcible purchase.

I bought the insurance for life my wife and I could afford, we both have a somewhat and so far reasonably decent policy for health thru work which mine goes away to medicare shortly. I do not intend to buy a medicare supplement as I take no meds on a regular regimen I only take on a as needed when have work done as antibiotics or pain aids.

My wife is getting a care policy as her Mom had so many issues as she aged and we have no kids to help her later. That is a bit on the pricey side for what it entails.

One fine aspect of having a farm is the tax shelter, it also becomes a self contained company so even if I should develop a severely debilitating disease and the health care industry try to bilk me for all I own they cannot touch the house or property.

Then again, should our illustrious politicians get a handle on how to implement a true Single Payer controlled expense Health Care Plan or Act then insurance becomes a moot point save for life or car or home insuring.

How do you think a government single-payer plan would control healthcare costs? It certainly can, but what mechanisms do you think would be used?

First it would lower administration costs according to statistics up to 15%. You have a huge risk pool that saves big money, everyone covered gets the same coverage, no messing about like Cooter is doing with his insurance, if a medicine or procedure is denied for one person it is denied for all persons, saving time, money and grief for the patient.

All here claiming the European models are SOOO So Perfect they are based on Single Payer System designs. You want "Health Care" for all you make Health Care for all not just forced insurance purchases that May or May NOT deliver what was intended/expected or envisioned.

Funny thing 'Visions' they tend to run a lot to the fantasy side of the mind game.

Scenario:

Person(no sexual connotations) becomes employed at a reasonably sized business that DOES supply 'A' insurance program.

They do not 'Have To' add any funding to this plan as it is employer paid for a base policy. The plan ONLY pays Major Medical expenses based on typical Hospitalized illness or injury to which the Plan pays ZERO for any Out Patient treatments unless "pre-Approved" a process that can take up to a few days or weeks dependent on situations and illness/doctor reports reviews.

Is this a value to the employee? Is it worth the money the employer pays for it for that employee if it costs around the same as a Bronze level ACA plan?

Explain your determinations.

I already have mine as I am well aware of more than a few dozen in these particular conditions.
