I don't in anyway want to come across as rude or obnoxious but the board needs more people posting on different subjects. This would encourage members to become more involved. I know everyone is busy but I can't do it all myself. I won't be able to do it for much longer. Just saying.

Rose I will try to post more. I haven't posted much in the last year or so. As the combination of the MS and the arthritis pretty much kills my typing. But my doctor and my physical and occupational therapists have encouraged me to do more computer keyboarding as a way to improve my fine motor skills. It will take me forever. But I am going to produce a few meaningful posts each day. Good luck with the others.

We know why especially if you do not agree with the status quo or with many of our invasions, wars, coups, it's having our noses rubbed in it. My biggest argument abroad was persons not knowing me and just by hearing my accent had made a decision. It is also dependent on who is writing the article, I don't mind anti American govt., articles that are on target but I also have certain boundaries on what I find is truthful, probably a commonality we all share, what you believe is the truth by what you read/watch and the problem with that is that no public citizens from any country are privy to the type of information they need to 100% say wrong or right, all we have to go on is what we read and the tv/radio. In the case of Donald Trump he has made it so much easier as it's comes from the horses mouth.

Are they when you have Le Pen in France that may have lost but still polled 1/3 of the votes or Geert Wilders in the Netherlands who won seats and his racist nationalist party is now second in command in their coalition or Austria whose right wing nationalist only lost by 5% of the vote. And when you go to 2nd or 3rd world countries it only gets worse. We are not the one that are being "badly duped" it started in Europe and has been seriously exposed in America with the election of Obama and following. Racists before in the states were politically correct. emoticon

The problem is that other people are turned off by the static opinions and lack of open mindedness.
I could bring up example of topic people are blind about, or people who have left, but there really is not much point.

You don't get it.
Trump has not invaded anyone or tried to force regime change on anyone.
That is a VAST improvement.
What he says in speeches is irrelevant.
Its not that Trump is less ridiculous than he obviously is, but that WE were far worse than people were willing to admit.
I like the fact Trump now IS rubbing people's noses in it, finally.
We deserve FAR worse.
And letting loose a hand grenade into a finely hones system of global abuse and slavery is a VAST improvement.

And the Trump attackers are insane.
So an unstable and egocentric person has their finger on the nuclear trigger, so lets try to make him as angry and upset at possible, that is sure to get him to do what we want? That's just crazy. Its not just suicidal, but attempting to destroy everything, in order to gain partisan points.

Yobbo, I will confess to possibly being the most vocal opposition to your innate hatred of Amarica and all things American. But I do not have the blind loyalty to America that you might believe. In fact if you backed me up against the wall and forced me rank my loyalties, I would say I am Triestino by birth and the grace of God; Italian by United Nations dictate in 1954; and American by accident and my mother's choice of a husband. In fact I spent my boyhood and adolescent years disliking Americans. Not due to political reasons. But rather because I found most American tourists to be loud, arrogant, and generally quite boorish. In other words the quintessential ugly Americans.

But it is not the average guy on the street that is the problem. It is the huge US military and covert services forcing regime change on other countries, essentially enslaving them.

It's no mystery to me. This country is a very sexist nation. It really doesn't seem to like women very much. If Trump had ran against some male candidate like Biden it's highly unlikely he would have been elected.

Re: Posting:

that is so true, but the thing is nobody will discuss the obvious. Young women are ignoring what's going on because it's their darn mothers who voted Trump in.

I had to leave another board, because the person who was in charge, always picked apart women in politics, every single candidate from HRC to Carly Fiorina she picked apart everything they did, like she was in competition with them. I figured if she did it, when she seemed to be self aware in other areas, then there was a serious problem going on that nobody is talking about.

sad to say, i've pretty much given up. all one can do is watch themselves. I didn't like HRC because she was out of touch. but i voted for her, and i think she would of won if she had selected Bernie Sanders as her running mate, but she didn't and that's on her. i have a little muddled thinking going on, but at the end of they day, thought processes are muddled when it comes to elections and who people end up voting for.

That's because what should be obvious to them isn't obvious.

Some people even believe that white women are favored in this country. Well, Hillary sure wasn't among a majority of white women even though her political views were not that different from Obama's.

Pixie: I try to reply to every post put up. Nobody likes their posts ignored. I try and find and write 3 op's every morning and often some are ignored. It takes me at least two hours each morning. A few members are good about saying something on my posts and I appreciate it. Even if someone wrote "that's bullshit" it better than the post dying a lonely death. Stick with us! It will get better.

Carly Fiorina was virtually ignored by Republican voters even though she would have been a better candidate than Trump. That may be the only way to get a woman in the white house. Have both parties pick a female candidate.

and there lies the rub, getting both parties to nominate women over men

Hillary was significantly different than Obama.

Obama was elected mostly because he was about the ONLY one who was against the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan.
He was also against the use of force in Libya, Egypt, Syria, Yemen, and Iran.

Hillary was a strong proponent of regime change by force in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Iran, and Palestine.

Obama got roped into the sins of the MIC soon after election. Until a way of side-stepping the MIC is worked out you will be part of a country that commits horrendous acts of terrorism and generally leaches on the destruction of other nations.

Exactly.
I don't think Obama lied when he said he was against these wars, but the reality is he differed from Bush in action, not one bit.
So the likely answer is that even a president no longer has any real power, and the MIC is totally in control.
