Earlier this month, before Donald Trump left his chair and walked over to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin for a second time at a post-G-20 dinner, the American president was seated next to Japanese First Lady Akie Abe. And she didn’t talk to him.
As Trump told The New York Times in an exclusive interview Wednesday, Abe doesn’t speak English—“like, not ‘hello’”—so their conversation was lacking for the nearly two hours the world leaders and spouses spent mingling. The night went well, as Trump explained, but communicating was still difficult.

He once again is making excuses by fibbing to cover an action noted by the media. He doesn't have an 'ignore' button, so he fibs. He should have taken the advice from Obama, ignore put on your big boy panties as people become directed at you making a jerk out of yourself, hence he causes his own grief and most this silly stuff would have lined the garbage bin the next day. In other words, pick your battles Donald, it will serve you and us much better!

So fibbing would be telling a lie about your weight and a lie would be saying someone committed a robbery that they didn't commit? It's the difference between what would qualify as perjury in court and a white lie?
Wasn't President Clinton impeached for what amounts to one of those fibs or white lies?

I can't make a call for anyone else, those are my boundaries. Clinton's Ken Starr witch hunt? Yes it was a lie, he hurt his wife and daughter which are still carrying his reputation.

True but when he lied wasn't he trying to avoid hurting them? His lie wasn't intended to hurt anyone. It was something along the lines of telling a fib about how much you weigh rather than trying to get someone into trouble or hurt anyone.
