It is just too far away for this to happen.

Fujiwhara effect - Wikipedia
The Fujiwhara effect, sometimes referred to as Fujiwara interaction or binary interaction, ... Merger of the two systems (or shearing out of one of the pair) becomes ... In 1974, Hurricanes Kirsten and Ione interacted in a Fujiwara interaction, ...

And while I'm experienced I'm not an expert. But the physics of what makes a hurricane work suggest that the outflow from Irma is going to make unfavorable conditions for Jose to go up the same track.

But we'll have to wait and see.
It is politically incorrect, and prohibited by the Government of the Land of the Free, under some circumstances to mention Global Warming, but still it could be changing things.

How ?
Well, if the sea surface temperature is so high that the first storm's passage did not turn over and cool the water enough, as used to be expected, then what feds the system might overcome the "outflow" wind shear that usually knocks back, or knocks (steers) away the second storm.

They're still predicting Jose will head NW and then make an abrupt right turn

though there are a few paths where the storm heads farther west

Destined to fizzle out and putter into oblivion. Katia did not last so long either only making Cat 1 then collapsing into a tropical depression.

you known my daughter is in a bomb shelter in Jacksonville directing air traffic this very moment she's been down there for 12 hours.

They are taking turns sleeping, but somebody has to get these planes away from the storm.

She volunteer to do this 3 days ago when Jacksonville was ordered to evacuate and they thought it would be a hurricane 5. I was so mad at her. I have no idea why she's so fearless, maybe growing up in Florida hurricane seemed normal to her. Anyway,
I'm glad the storm lost it's punch.

I'm hoping Jose does the same. enough is enough.

Well, if he is used correctly, as a bad example, he serves a purpose, gopped.

quote:
Destined to fizzle out and putter into oblivion

Yeah, but given my professional interest, I follow the tropical weather forecasts regularly every year. There are more of them as predicted by a certain theory, BUT as they have stayed out to sea, gone up the mid Atlantic, the dumb deniers and fake news authoritarians can claim that they don't know about them, so they don't know what is really going on, actually.

Now, something that needs saying is that ultimately until the 1960's, the data is not reliable in that it was gathered by ships at sea. A big mid-ocean hurricane, or one that lasted as long Irma, could easily be counted twice ... as two different storms, if, for example, if it was reported once, not far west of the Cape Verdes, then not again until it was bearing down on Windward Islands.

So admittedly it got better between WWII and the 1960's, but still remember the storm that USS Independence was in was not forecast

So read this:

Seasons with the most named storms, 1851 - Present

Rank Year Number of Storms
1. 2005 28
2. 1933 20
3. 2012 19
3. 2011 19
3. 2010 19
3. 1995 19
3. 1887 19
8. 1969 18
9. 2008 16
9. 2003 16
9. 1936 16
12. 2007 15
13. 2004 15
14. 2001 15
15. 2000 15

... and how many are in the past ... 20 or 25 years ?

and lately note this:

3. 2012 19
3. 2011 19
3. 2010 19

But the years in between did not let up much

But where they went is why the silly fools can pretend the corporate liars are correct in saying what you do not see is not happening.

There is what their denial really is.

And to expect as the lists are now 'seeable' that there were not worse storms, or more storms in the more recent Undocumented past. That is where the Climate Change argument loses interest as they cannot 'document' so much as interpolate/estimate/exaggerate or "Deny" prior to the 1800's.

Key words tricky phrases:
Worse storm 'Seen of modern times', 'strongest storm Ever Recorded', 'Worse possible case storm based against recorded data' which only dates back to the 1700's as a stretch but not scientific measurement determined to current values.

Babble on.
It seems you are beginning to have trouble of even convincing yourself of your entrenched political beliefs in the face the mounting evidence.

To your credit you are no Kellyanne Conway.
It's not much, sure, but I mean it in the best way possible.

Weather has nothing to do with science facts. You are obviously a science Denier, you even avoid confrontation as to "Denying" Solar influence.

You as much as stated it so.

You Do understand without increased Solar Activity for a period of time Solar Flares and CME cannot occur? You DO Understand CME events move almost as fast as light speed where the radiation effects leading up to them is felt for days to WEEKS prior?

If you do then you are denying a fact of science in sticking to the CO2 Only suggested 'THEORY' as the Sun has as much to more effect than any function level of a gas in atmosphere.

do YOU understand that the current solar cycle is the quietest since accurate records began in 1750?

that article changes nothing!

so sun spot activity isnt a good measure of solar out put, but if it isnt a good measure today then it wasnt a good measure during the Dalton minimum either!

what ever solar events actually caused the Dalton minimum it still coincided with reduced activity as measured by sun spot activity (just as it did during the Maunder minimum) now we have sun spot activity even lower than during Dalton AND different effects are observed - reduced sunspots should coincide with periods of colder climate (what occured in the past is the key to the future - the principle of uniformatarianism)and that STILL needs explained!

And yet they did occur, based on science fact Solar events led to them. Did not have to be or must be Sunspot events as the new finding puts the 'Invisible' radiation effects and not just Luminaire values either as to the heat effect of the Sun.

Do your sun spots correlate with the obvious effect of CO2 caused Global Warming in any way, beyond under your own tin foil hat ?

Climate (so sunspots) caused Brexit, too, right, Cooter ?

So the scientists that report on solar flares are completely trustworthy but the thousands that say human caused climate change is happening are all liars?

The science deniers are hypothetical, dogmatic, political hacks with no moral authority.
