Re: The great GOP escape from Congress:
That's an interesting point of view, Yobbo, but a very distorted one. It's like looking at only one part of the elephant.

Re: The great GOP escape from Congress:
The thing is, America continues to be in a state of perpetual war regardless of which party holds the presidency.
If you like, tell me when America was not involved in a war some time during the past 50 years.

Re: The great GOP escape from Congress:
To say that the two parties are the same because we have been at war under both of them for the last 50 years is absurd on the face of it.

I think those leaving GOTea Party are the more honorable of Republican politicians.
So what will they have left to run for office, and may God save America, perhaps run the country then the likes DJ Trump, Roy Moore (who it is rumored will not concede his obvious defeat as the means of keeping his name in the phony press to help in his run in the GOP primary, so for a run at State office), and Sheriff Arpaio (who IS, now, running for the Arizona State Senate) ?
(With a tip of my hat to Shiftless
The take away is that it not too soon to start getting out the real American's vote, like happened in Alabama, for this November's election, to overwhelm the GOTea Party gerrymandering with sheer numbers and people power.
And incorrect in semantics yet again;
There are four convicted, some pardoned some having completed their payment to society criminals that are running on Republican ticket. Cannot run for office sitting inside a jail.

Where if you wish to get picky, neither party is guilt free nor are any less running with previously convicted membership:

I said that the two parties are different factions of the same party. One faction cares about the less well off while the other doesn't give a rat's arse. That faction's main raison d'être is to make the rich ever richer. But both factions tailor their programmes to do the bidding of the M.I.C. et al as first priority.

Re: The great GOP escape from Congress:
Neither party in the US is legitimately interested in aiding the less well off, they are only there to boost their own benefit and resultant incomes.

Re: The great GOP escape from Congress:
And yet most Democrats vote for programs that aid the less well off, and most Republicans vote against them.

While they make the Middle Class a component part of the Less Well Off. Cannot make money for those programs from thin air.

Re: The great GOP escape from Congress:
Many of the people who vote for the GOP are poor fools who for some idiotic reason believe that by voting the way they do, some of the riches of the GOP will be sprinkled on them.
If the Dems could prove otherwise the GOP would become the ROP. ROP=redundant old pricks instead of greedy old pricks.
