The great GOP escape from Congress:

THE GREAT GOP ESCAPE FROM CONGRESS:

[As if the Republicans don't have enough problems many GOP members of Congress have decided to escape the possible carnage of the mid terms by retiring before they are held. The White house it seems has much the same problem with staff looking toward the exits and possible reinforcements refusing to answer their phones. It seems the reek of the slaughter house is spreading over the skies of Washington.]

The honorable thing is to not support the indefensible.

I think those leaving GOTea Party are the more honorable of Republican politicians.
So what will they have left to run for office, and may God save America, perhaps run the country then the likes DJ Trump, Roy Moore (who it is rumored will not concede his obvious defeat as the means of keeping his name in the phony press to help in his run in the GOP primary, so for a run at State office), and Sheriff Arpaio (who IS, now, running for the Arizona State Senate) ?

The take away is that it not too soon to start getting out the real American's vote, like happened in Alabama, for this November's election, to overwhelm the GOTea Party gerrymandering with sheer numbers and people power.

I see more jumping ship like rats soon after Trump mouthed off at an open meeting today! They're discussing immigrant negotiations and said to the room, "why are we taking in these people from $#!t-hole countries?" What a tool! emoticon emoticon emoticon

There are those who say i am pro-Republican. That is not the case at all. I am simply pro-two party government. I am actually pro-MULTIparty government. But sadly, for a variety of reasons there is little possibility of a successful emergence of even a third viable party in American politics. Given all that, the best we can hope for is rehabilitation of the malignancy that has overtaken the Republican Part. NOT the elimination of the Republican Party, leaving the US with a one Party government. A slippery slope we do not want to venture down.

America is governed by two factions of the same party. You've had a one party state since Eisenhauer left office.

It's getting rough amongst the conservatives; actually threatening one another! Rick Wilson went off and told John Fredericks on CNN tonight "I will gut you like a fish:" = [url][sign in to see URL] =

WRONG, Yobbo! You could read some history about the two parties and the Civil Rights movement (for instance), and the tug-of-war between Democrats and Republicans over income inequality. You could compare the Reagan administration with the Clinton administration, and the George W. Bush administration with the Obama administration, not to mention the Obama administration with the Trump administration so far. I realize that it's easier just to make a blanket statement like yours than to do the research, but it's more fun to do the research.

Belle, the two parties weren't always just factions of the same party. But now they are two parts of the War party. America has been ruled by the [sign in to see URL]. starting some time after the 1950s. Clinton was the [sign in to see URL]'S favoured candidate but she lost. A minor setback for the bosses. This is where Trump might have stopped it but seems to have fallen in line and is no different from any of his predecessors. Obama wasn't madly of the warmongering type yet Libya had the snot bombed out of it during his presidency along with upgrading wars in much of the Middle East. Need I mention Bush? Carter's heart was in the right place, yet wars were carried out during his time. Admittedly rather half-heartedly which is the main reason why he was dumped.

I'll grant you that the Democratic party faction of the War party has some decent policies but they are subservient to maintaining wars.

The thing is, America continues to be in a state of perpetual war regardless of which party holds the presidency.

If you like, tell me when America was not involved in a war some time during the past 50 years.

To say that the two parties are the same because we have been at war under both of them for the last 50 years is absurd on the face of it.

And incorrect in semantics yet again;
There are four convicted, some pardoned some having completed their payment to society criminals that are running on Republican ticket. Cannot run for office sitting inside a jail.

I said that the two parties are different factions of the same party. One faction cares about the less well off while the other doesn't give a rat's arse. That faction's main raison d'être is to make the rich ever richer. But both factions tailor their programmes to do the bidding of the [sign in to see URL]. et al as first priority.

Neither party in the US is legitimately interested in aiding the less well off, they are only there to boost their own benefit and resultant incomes.

Many of the people who vote for the GOP are poor fools who for some idiotic reason believe that by voting the way they do, some of the riches of the GOP will be sprinkled on them.
If the Dems could prove otherwise the GOP would become the ROP. ROP=redundant old pricks instead of greedy old pricks.

True enough! I keep hearing story after story of regret by these poor schnooks that were conned by Trump and the Rep. Party! Carrier was given a tax break, promised to keep that plant in Indiana; now they've fired 500+ employees and are still moving it to Mexico! These poor farmers are going to pay a huge price as well! The Haitians were lied to with Trump promising he'd be their champion! Not sure I have to remind people what's what as it exploded yesterday; ALL DAY!

They're all idiots and the Republican party never underestimates the gullibility of the populous; hence them owning it from coast to coast! I can't wait for retribution in the next election! Not sure if these nitwits will remember how ineffectual Congress has been, only getting that tax bill thru that will hurt us all eventually! The bad news just keeps on coming! emoticon emoticon emoticon
