Well, the thread isn't about Arpaio, who's an idiot and a pardoned convict, but wasn't convicted of offenses bordering on treason. Democrats must be proud to have Manning as a candidate. Maybe next they can recruit Aldrich Ames and Robert Hansson as candidates.

I've already stated what I thouhgt of Manning, for me it isn't about my politics, millions share the democratic platform that hardly means every democratic candidate will float my boat and that is one major issue I have with conservatives how do you support someone so personally foul who lies so much.

Not a fair comparison, she's a convicted whistle blower. Hansson and Ames were convicted of espionage.

It is a fair comparison. She was convicted of violations of the Espionage Act. She escaped conviction for aiding the enemy, which carries the death penalty.

was what Manning did illegal? - sure it was

Was what Manning did 'wrong'? the answer to that isnt so easy.

Some one needed to shine a light into the dark corners of government (the military)

Freedom of speech is a principal pillar of a free government: When this support is taken away, the constitution of a free society is dissolved, and tyranny is erected on its ruins. Republics and limited monarchies derive their strength and vigor from a popular examination into the action of the magistrates.”

I think Manning's entry into the race can be placed on the same thread as shift's meme from the Occupy Democrats who claimed only Republicans have people convicted of crimes running for office, properly framing Occupy Democrats' pronouncements as mindless drivel.

Where did I claim that "only Democrats" have people convicted of crimes running for office?
