I have only witnessed such bias and hate from KKK members. I never considered would come from all of you.

I presented FACTS and links and all you manage is personal attacks. I am deleting my link to here at this time. I do not need to be member of a "Hate" group.

Unfortunately, your "facts" are false. And you've been provided with evidence of that.

Where does that occur, not in Missouri.

No, you could walk into a Missouri gun shop tell the store keeper you are the reincarnation of Hitler come to create the third reich and if you pass the background check it would be illegal for him to refuse to sell you a gun!

I don't believe that you're right about that. Based on what I've read the gun dealer would be able to legally refuse to sell to the customer if they had concerns about their stability or competence to own a gun. They would not be legally able to do so based on race or gender.

I don't think you know what bias and hate is.

Don't worry - cooter ran away with his tail between his legs once before. He doesn't like being corrected.

No shame. No heart. No spine. No decency. No respect. No integrity.

‘You’re here celebrating the death of 17 children’: Gun reform protesters booted out of Paul Ryan Florida fundraiser
RYAN WILLIAMS-JENT

Two activists were removed from Paul Ryan’s weekend fundraiser in Key Biscayne, Florida for confronting the Speaker of the House about gun reform.

“Maria Thorne, a Key Biscayne activist, said she noticed motorcade traffic clogging up her commute home from her job as a fifth grade teacher at iPrep Academy,” the Miami Herald reported, “where she spent the day reassuring scared students that she could keep them safe from a shooter.”

After Thorne heard a rumor that the motorcade belonged to Ryan, she and a friend decided to attend the local event. The Herald confirmed that the National Republican Congressional Committee lists a 2018 Winter Meeting on their website, and the Speaker’s representative confirmed his attendance.

They further reported:

Thorne said she found Ryan in the middle of the room — “I shook his hand and everything,” she said — and introduced herself as a teacher and Key Biscayner.

“Nice,” the Republican congressman replied.

“Nice?” Thorne said. “You’re here celebrating the death of 17 children.”

At that, Thorne said, Ryan told her he “didn’t want to talk politics” or argue. When Thorne tried to continue, security escorted her out. She chanted “No more guns!” on her way out the door, she said.

Thorne wants politicians, including Ryan, to pass laws that tighten gun control.

Activist group PerSisters posted video and photos of the event on Twitter:

Officer at Florida School Waited Outside Instead of Confronting Shooter, Sheriff Says

The "only thing that defeats a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun" idea falls apart when the good guy with a gun is absent or gutless....

Parkland - My City, Everyone's Tragedy

Lonny Anger

I haven’t written a post in about a year and a half – There are several reasons why, but it all seems irrelevant now. I express myself better in written form, and thought it would be an appropriate time to share some thoughts on the horrific events that happened in our beautiful city.

I am a proud resident of Parkland, Florida. I no longer need to explain that it is located 15 minutes Southwest of Boca Raton; for all the wrong reasons, we are now more well-known than our neighbors.

The shooting that occurred yesterday wasn’t supposed to happen here.

It’s not supposed to happen anywhere.

No one knows why our city was chosen. We won't ever know.

I grew up in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn. The only things we had to worry about was getting into fights, hanging out, and who was going to buy the beer. Often, you were hanging out with the person you just got into a fight with, drinking those very same beers.

Our kids have bigger things to worry about.

I was at the supermarket close to the High School buying Valentine’s Day items, that should have been bought days ago. I walked outside and ran into my friend Sally, who asked if I knew why there was police activity. I saw a police car drive away from the area, so really didn’t think much of it.

I drove home and received a call from my wife that there was an active shooter at Douglas. I went online to see what was happening, and then turned on CNN.

I tried calling my daughter who is a student at the school, and I was met with a text with this response:

DON’T CALL ME. I’m in a closet with my teacher.

It was at that moment that I realized the severity of the situation.

Despite pleas from law enforcement to stay away from the area, I jumped in my truck and drove as closely as I could to the school. I left my truck parked on the street, and began walking towards the school – all the while texting with my daughter.

Daddy, I’m scared.

I passed by hundreds of kids crying, seemingly trying hard to understand what just happened. Parents were frantically trying to get in touch with their children, or giving information to those who couldn’t be there.

I was able to walk across the street from the school, only being held up by the police.

Rumors were flying. Multiple shooters. 50 people shot. Shooters went over to Westglades Middle School.

No one knew what was true. Kids running out of the school with their hands up.

I’m scared, Daddy.

My phone is blowing up from calls and texts from family and friends.

Selfishly, I keep texting my daughter, more for my sake than hers. If she is texting, that means she is fine.

I’m scared.

SWAT teams everywhere, along with police. Having lived in Manhattan during 9/11, it was eerily similar to seeing army trucks on the city streets. It just doesn’t look right.

Tell Grandma I’m OK.

I then get a call, 2 hours after this ordeal began:

“I’m coming out.”

I text her my location, and wait for 20 minutes. Seems like 20 hours. I see her across the street, and motion for her to keep walking down the street so I can meet her away from the crowds.

We embrace. I cry. She cries. I hold her tightly. I don’t want to let go.

I walk her down to my wife’s waiting car, and now want to go back to get my son who is at the middle school next door on lockdown. I hop a ride with someone driving a golf cart, to someone’s waiting car, who drives me to the other street – where I proceed to walk to the school.

I text my son. I wait a few minutes, but again it seems like hours.

I’m ok.

I check back at home to see how my daughter is doing. Rumors are still flying. Only thing confirmed was that the suspect was caught.

Inside my science class.

I tell my son where I am.

I was just there.

I beg for him to come back, so I can take him home.

I have to wait until everybody is there.

Announcement is made that they will soon be releasing the students.

I’m going to carline.

I text him my location. I see his friends. I ask if they need rides. Several do. I finally see my son, and hug him so tightly that I am afraid I broke his ribs.

His friends hop in the back of my pickup, and I drive them home one by one.

I still can’t believe this is happening.

We turn on the TV. Parkland is all over the news, both local and national. The anchors we normally watch about other tragedies are now talking about Parkland. Politicians politicizing “other” tragedies, now talking about Parkland. Surreal.

It’s not supposed to be this way.

17 dead. Everyone here knows someone affected. Directly. Indirectly. I can’t stop thinking of these families, and the nightmare they have to endure for the rest of their lives.

It’s not supposed to be this way.

We moved here because of the reputation of the schools. Never in a million years did we think those very schools would be the entry into an unwanted fraternity.

It’s not supposed to be this way.

Parkland is an incredible place to live and raise a family. We are not without our faults, but now we are forever linked to this tragedy.

We used to be known for having a Chinese drywall problem during the housing boom.

How I wish that was what we were still known for.

I normally end my posts by writing in the third person, inviting famous people to dinner.

However, I am modifying my style for this one post.

This platform is used for primarily business purposes - and in my professional career if something isn’t working, you need to change.

I’m not sure what that change is in this situation.

Anything. Just change. Tighter gun laws, but outfit teachers with guns? Ok. That’s change. Make everyone wait 60 days until you get a gun? Ok. That’s change. Address mental health issues because you say people kill people, guns don’t? OK, That’s change.

Therefore, instead I am going to ask people who I feel are influential, to use their influence for change. People like Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Ellen Degeneres, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, Dwayne Johnson, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump to do something.

Anything.

Please.

Parkland is begging you.

It’s not supposed to be this way.
