Re: 2018 has been deadlier for schoolchildren than service members
Nevada passed a background check, but no money was allotted
to pay for the background checks. So they can't run background checks. They have to wait until the law is on the books a couple of years to change the wording to say the person buying the gun has to pay for the background check.
For some reason the NRA thought this was hysterically funny.

Here's the story about the NRA suing Florida for its new law:
NRA sues Florida to block part of new gun law
By Steve Almasy, CNN
March 9, 2018
(CNN) The National Rifle Association is suing the state of Florida after Gov. Rick Scott signed Senate Bill 7026 into law Friday, the first gun control legislation enacted in the state after the Parkland school massacre on February 14.

I'm saying that this shooting doesn't provide any supporting evidence for gun control legislation generally being discussed.
yeah well, this shooting also provides evidence that having two armed officers on duty with a practiced shooting plan, And still 10 people died while the shootings continued for 25 minutes.

Events like this one in Santa Fe are restricted to the US. Try and find an example of an event like this happening in any other first world country.

Re: 2018 has been deadlier for schoolchildren than service members
Can you find mass school shootings in 1st world countries, how about 2nd and 3rd?? "Clips aren't accurate," "this shooting doesn't provide any evidence for gun control legislation." I would say apparently no shooting whether school or otherwise seems to legitimize the need for action. Another day, another dollar..........
