Some ( many ???) cars have a little arrow near the gas gauge on the dash board to show which side the gas filler tube is on.

Most people, myself included, never notice it, or do not understand it ... well, until the guy showing me my rental car pointed it out to me.

I quit driving about 6 yrs ago after 2 close calls that would have been my fault. A couple of yrs. later I developed a detached retina which finalized my decision. Having said this I still think I could have done better than either of these two!

LOL...i think if we were blindfolded we could do better.

People like this shouldn't be on the roads. emoticon

I'm sure that was a difficult decision to make on your part.

Maybe she thought that the gas hole would move around to the other side of the car if she kept driving around. emoticon

It shouldn't be difficult for anyone to find the place to put gas in their car. There's usually a little door that isn't hard to find.

Well at first I was living with my sister and brother-in-law so it wasn't such a big deal. Then I moved out (Martha and I have always been oil and water but we have family loyalty in spite of it) I made a deal with my house cleaner whose car bit the big one - she cleaned my house in lieu of a car payment. Then I stumbled on the Weber County ride which provides transportation for seniors and the disabled. Unfortunately my cleaner suffered a heart attack and couldn't work anymore so I just signed the car over to her since I could use the Ride. Since I bought my townhouse I've made an arrangement with some neighbors across the street. They get to use my driveway (they have 3 cars for 2 spaces) in return for picking up my mail and helping me with any heavy lifting I need done. I have found that bargaining can work well!

I consider myself (and all of us really) responsible for the safety in our communities. My father was killed by a drunk driver when I was 6 and wouldn't I want, through irresponsibility, to do something like that to any one else!
