If it makes you happy to think so gopqed, go right ahead. Pointing out the obvious ultra-conservatism of Montana doesn't "write it off". I voiced my opinion and you have tried to stifle me! Disagreement is one thing but calling me "ignorant" and "bigoted" after I have provided evidence for my claim and for exercising my Constitutional rights is more of a demonstration of your own shortcomings.
What's been happening in Montana for the last several years reminds me of when the Scientologists tried to take over the city of Clearwater, Fl.! Fortunately the people of Clearwater fought back and reclaimed their city. I can find nothing to substantiate any argument to the effect that the people of Montana have done anything to reclaim their state. As a matter of fact you have posted nothing to support your allegations. Therefore you are the one who seems to be guilty of prejudice and ignorance. Saying it's so doesn't make it so. Try posting a link to bolster your allegations!

Montana isn't ultra conservative, crogin. It has Democrats A's Governor and Lt. Governor and one of its Senators is a Democrat. I'mhave you ever been to the state? The alt-right element in the state in an extremely small minority - fewer in number than almost any other state in the US, according to the SPLC.

It's not being taken over by those groups. Your claim that it is just reveals your ignorance. There are far more of those groups in states like Florida, Illinois, Michigan and California that there are in Montana. Step away from your sensationalism and acquire some education.

It isn't bigotry, Montana at the moment may have a dem gov. but at the same time conservatives have a huge majority in the senate and house. Idaho, Montana and Wyoming are not just conservative states as living in the northwest I call them a cross between conservatism and libertarism, that a dem heads the state every now and then is true. It is also true that they are not being taken over by white supremists but it is true, they have more than there share, I lived in Idaho for a period and it is the truth and there is recorded history about these groups. That is not to say these states welcome them but they don't do alot to get rid of them until bad stuff goes down as in with the Butlers in N. Idaho and groups of white supremacy stiil hold respectable positions in the community.

Over the last 50 years, Montana has only had Republican hovers for 4 terms - 16 years from 1989 to 2005. It's a conservative state, but not ultra-conservative and certainly not dominated by the alt-right. Oregon has more than twice the concentration of alt-right groups as Montana.

We do, is that a guess? Or. is extremely blue with a few nutters but an alt right state is a serious exagerration. Montana is a red state but it's conservatism as in Wyoming may be cause for question as I consider them neither republican or democrat but libertarian.
