The world gets ready for war:

The world gets ready for war:

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2017/08/11/china-pledges-neutrality-unless-us-strikes-north-korea-first.html

[China says she will stay natural unless America strikes first. If Trump goes with a first strike China will not allow the attack to succeed. Australia will fight along with America and NATO could quickly become involved. It's looking grimmer every day.]

Being in the South Pacific is not going to help NZ if the Australians in their "us too!" sycophancy join in the madness.

I would say NZ is in a precarious position no matter what they do.

I don't think anyone would ever go with the US if the US did a first strike.
It would be immoral, illegal, and the UN would be forced to act against the US.
We claimed self defense far too many times, like with Iraq, and no one is going to accept that any more.

Yes, and as would many of the Eastern Europeans beginning with the Poles. And if they were in the wrong mood when the strike came, so would the Brits.

No, unfortunately, our best bet is for Attempting to establish Diplomatic channels through the Chinese. And then hoping that the North Koreans, under there unstable little tin horn dictator self implode before the little fat boy actually decides to start shooting either conventional or nuclear weapons at Guam., "where America's Day Begins".

I don't see who anyone, including the Aussies, could accept a first strike.
That would set the pecedent that regardless of international law, the US would get to slaughter millions of innocent people whenever it wanted to.
That would be the end of any illusion there was any law or ethical principles.
It would be a return to the days of feudalism, where "might makes right".

I don't think any independents would allow it because they all know they could be next.
Even Saudi Arabia, India, and Pakistan would have to turn against us, much less China and Russia.
Any ethical country would.
