I wouldn't count Moore out over this ...

ALABAMA EVANGELICALS MORE LIKELY TO SUPPORT ROY MOORE AFTER SEXUAL ASSAULT ALLEGATIONS, POLL SHOWS

Talk about loving the sinner!

Nearly 40 percent of Evangelical Christians in Alabama say they're now more likely to vote for Roy Moore after multiple allegations that he molested children, even as voters across the historically red state now seem to be punishing Moore for his past actions, a new poll shows.

A plurality of evangelicals — 37 percent — described themselves as more likely to support Moore because of recent sexual assault allegations levied against him, while only 28 percent were less likely to do so. Thirty-four percent of the supposedly devout Christians said that the allegations reported last week in the Washington Post made no difference in their support for Moore.

The same poll, conducted in the wake of the Post report that he sexually molested four teenage girls in the early 1980s, also shows that ...

Keurig Coffee dropped Sean from their ad spend. Hannity is now encouraging people to smash their Keurigs and they're doing it on YouTube. It's incredible, These conservatives have been indoctrinated by Hannity into supporting pedophile. Worse, Keurig CEO has now apology to Hannity for pulling his ad.

George Will is such a good writer. It's a pleasure to read him when he agrees with me.

Roy Moore is an embarrassment. Doug Jones deserves to win.

By George F. Will Opinion writer
November 13 at 1:52 PM

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- But for the bomb, the four would be in their 60s, probably grandmothers. Three were 14 and one was 11 in 1963 when the blast killed them in the 16th Street Baptist Church, which is four blocks from the law office of Doug Jones, who then was 9.

He was born in May 1954, 13 days before the U.S. Supreme Court’s Brown v. Board of Education school desegregation decision. He was 16 when he attended, at this city’s Legion Field, the Alabama Crimson Tide vs. the University of Southern California Trojans football game in which USC’s Sam Cunningham, an African American all-American, led a 42-21 thumping of the home team, thereby (so goes the much-embellished but true-enough story) advancing the integration of the region through its cultural pulse, college football. Roll Tide.

As a second-year law student, Jones cut classes to attend the 1977 trial of one of the church bombers, Robert “Dynamite Bob” Chambliss. In 2001 and 2002, as U.S. attorney, Jones successfully prosecuted two other bombers. Was there resentment about this protracted pursuit of justice? No, he says as he nurses with tea a voice raspy from campaigning, because after 9/11 intervened, punishing domestic terrorism was not controversial. Today, this son of a steelworker stands between Roy Moore — an Elmer Gantry mixing piety and cupidity: He and his family have done well financially running a foundation — and the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions.

Moore campaigns almost entirely on social issues — National Football League protests, the transgender menace — and the wild liberalism of Jones, a law-and-order prosecutor and deer and turkey hunter who says he has “a safe full of guns.” Jones’s grandfathers were members of the mineworkers’ and steelworkers’ unions: Birmingham, surrounded by coal and iron ore, was Pittsburgh — a steel city — almost before Pittsburgh was. Jones hopes economic and health-care issues matter more.

Evangelical Christians who embrace Moore are serving the public good by making ridiculous their pose as uniquely moral Americans, and by revealing their leaders to be especially grotesque specimens of the vanity — vanity about virtue — that is curdling politics. Another public benefit from the Moore spectacle is the embarrassment of national Republicans. Their party having made the star of the “Access Hollywood” tape president, they now are horrified that Moore might become 1 percent of the Senate. Actually, this scofflaw, twice removed from Alabama’s Supreme Court, once for disobeying a U.S. Supreme Court ruling, is a suitable sidekick for the president who pardoned Joe Arpaio, Arizona’s criminal former sheriff. Even after Donald Trump conceded that Barack Obama was born in the United States, Moore continued rejecting such squishiness.

Absentee ballots are already being cast. Assuming that the Republican governor does not shred state law by preventing the election from occurring Dec. 12, Republicans’ Senate majority might soon be gone. It has been 21 years since a Democratic Senate candidate won even 40 percent of Alabama’s vote. It has, however, been even longer — not since the George Wallace era — that the state’s identity has been hostage to a politician who assumes that Alabamians are eager to live down to hostile caricatures of them.

Nothing about Moore’s political, financial or glandular history will shake his base, unless the credible accusations of serial pursuit of underage girls are suddenly overshadowed by something his voters consider serious, such as taking sides in the Alabama-Auburn game. Jones’s hopes rest with traditional white Democrats (scarce), Republicans capable of chagrin (scarcer) and African Americans. They are 27 percent of this state in which “civil rights tourism” (the 16th Street church, Selma’s Edmund Pettus Bridge, Martin Luther King Jr.’s Montgomery church, and more) is economically important.

This month, Virginia’s African Americans turned out for [sign in to see URL] Ralph Northam, a Democrat who, like Jones, invited voters to take a walk on the mild side. Approximately a quarter of Alabamians live in the metropolitan area of Birmingham, which has had an African American mayor since 1979. National Democrats are helping Jones, but delicately. They rashly treated a Georgia special congressional election as a referendum on the president and want to avoid that mistake in a state Trump carried by 28 points.

Turnout for the August Republican primary and the September runoff was about 18 and 14 percent, respectively. Next month’s election will occur during many distractions, midway between Thanksgiving and Christmas and, more important, 10 days after Armageddon — the SEC championship game. Perhaps an Alabama victory would make the state hanker for a senator worthy of its football team. If so: Roll Tide.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch ...

Roy Moore Was Once Banned From A Mall For Inappropriate Conduct Towards Young Girls

The Senate campaign for Republican Roy Moore is flaming out in apocalyptic fashion as accusations of pedophilia and sexual predation continue to pile up against him.

Last week, The Washington Post ran a story alleging that Moore molested a 14-year-old girl when he was 32 and pursued inappropriate relationships with three other teenage girls. Today, another woman came forward to accuse Moore of sexually assaulting her when she was 15 and he was the District Attorney for her county.

Now, new article from The New Yorker[/col] widens the portrait of Moore as a vile sexual predator. Reportedly, Roy Moore was banned from his local mall for repeatedly harassing teenage girls. While the mall does have a ban list, the archives don’t extend far back enough in time to prove whether Moore was indeed on the list several decades ago.

etc ...

I have mixed feelings about this. Keurig didn't have to be a sponsor of Hannity in the first place. When you support a questionable commentator there may be negative consequences. It reminds me of that old saying, "qui cum canibus concumbunt cum pulicibus surgent."

"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas."

Apparently other companies are pulling their ads from Hannity's show

Roy Moore Just Lost Sean Hannity: 'For Me the Judge Has 24 Hours' to Come Up With an Explanation or Get Out of the Race

'You Must Immediately and Fully Come Up With a Satisfactory Explanation for Your Inconsistencies That I Just Showed'

Sean Hannity is cutting Roy Moore loose.

The conservative host who is so extreme he nearly lost his Fox News job over the insane Seth Rich murder conspiracy theory is drawing the line at child sexual assault and attempted rape.

Hannity rushed to Roy Moore's defense last week, inviting him on his radio show barely 24 hours after the Washington Post's bombshell Thursday article detailing accusations by a woman who says she was just 14 when Moore sexually assaulted her. Hannity tried to give Moore the opportunity to flatly deny all he allegations against him, but Moore did the opposite. He actually admitted he had "dated a lot of young ladies" when he was the Deputy District Attorney. But Moore also clarified that "generally" he hadn't dated women under 18, and always got their mother's permission first.

Then on Monday a new accuser stepped forward, with her high school yearbook she says Roy Moore signed. An Alabama judge on Tuesday said Moore signature in the yearbook was identical to the Constitution Moore signed for him 15 years ago. The new accuser said she thought Moore was going to rape her and described in tearful, credible, intimate detail how he assaulted her in his car behind the restaurant she worked.

Tuesday night Hannity had had enough. Maybe it was the flurry of advertisers pulling their support from him – again – or maybe, just maybe his conscience woke up a little.

Hannity cut Moore loose.

"For me, the Judge has 24 hours," the Fox News host told viewers Tuesday night. "You must immediately and fully come up with ...

Conscience? Hannity? Nah!

Still, I'm glad he said this, for whatever reason.

I have never had the strong [sign in to see URL] to watch Sean Hannity. After watching him for five minutes left me with the need to toss my lunch.

Child Brides, Teenage Sluts, and Roy Moore
BY LIBBY ANNE

I wasn’t surprised to find, this morning, that a blog post I wrote in 2013, Child Marriage and the Rest of the Maranatha Story, had regained legs and was making the rounds. In the wake of recent revelations about Roy Moore, it is worth noting a not insignificant portion of conservatives don’t have a problem with relationships between very young teens and adult men.

Where to start? For years, a story circulated within homeschool circles about the courting of a girl named Maranatha. The story was a staple of purity culture courtship narratives. And by courtship, I mean literal courtship. Courtship is not just another term for dating. It means something entirely different. To court a woman, a man must ...
