I can't attribute to it to selfishness, that would be more like the Menendez brothers, older. I could if a child was physically or sexually abused. I think it is rare enough they can only put together some general statistics of commonality but other than that I don't think they have a handle on it. There is still a long way to go yet with adults. I read they played with qujie boards. I'm amazed how some people take it very seriously and the obsession with the supernatural.nondisclosed_email@example.com (katie5445)Wed, 03 Jan 2018 02:13:08 +0000 Re: us court sentences 12 year old to 25 yearshttps://bthepoliticalgrilltwo.runboard.com/p33525,from=rss#post33525https://bthepoliticalgrilltwo.runboard.com/p33525,from=rss#post33525It seems that these girls had a shared delusion. I tried to find out what this is called, and there is a name for it: folie à deux ("madness of two"), maybe this case fits into that scenario, I'm not sure. I saw an article about the "secondary" girl (the one who went along with the other one) ... the article showed how her parents created an acceptance in the home of whatever you call a kind of "themed" lifestyle full of fantasy, it seems as though it wasn't so much of a stretch for her to believe in goblins or whatever. nondisclosed_email@example.com (birdcharm)Wed, 03 Jan 2018 01:14:30 +0000 Re: us court sentences 12 year old to 25 yearshttps://bthepoliticalgrilltwo.runboard.com/p33488,from=rss#post33488https://bthepoliticalgrilltwo.runboard.com/p33488,from=rss#post33488quote:birdcharm wrote: quote:cooter50 wrote: What of aggressive behaviors? It just depends on whether they are conditioned to put what they want first over other people and don't respect others enough, if at all. The self-absorbed prima donna phenomenon is not as common among girls as boys. That is why most criminals are males. But it can happen. There have been enough female criminals, including violent ones, to show that it can happen. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Philer)Sun, 31 Dec 2017 23:57:36 +0000 Re: us court sentences 12 year old to 25 yearshttps://bthepoliticalgrilltwo.runboard.com/p33483,from=rss#post33483https://bthepoliticalgrilltwo.runboard.com/p33483,from=rss#post33483It brings into focus that parents need to be more attentive to what their children are reading or involved in on the Internet. It's always been important to know what kids are exposed to, who their friends are, etc., but now there are more places and ways for them to get confused or too deep into subjects/themes (such as "Slenderman") that are not real. From a few years ago, there was talk among the parents locally about how parents need to pay more attention. This should be something all parents occupy themselves with, imo, as we've had too many instances of children/teens getting into trouble mainly because no one is paying attention to them -- that is a form of neglect/abuse.
