Re: Two Russians and a British cop hit by nerve agent in England As I have said earlier both channel 4 and the BBC were on the case of the lies told to justify the war on Iraq very quickly -
- Libya was a different issue there there was a popular uprising western governments (for various reasons) took against Qaddafi (as far as the UK those reasons include the murder of a police woman and the supply of arms to anti British terrorists)
Blogs such as MoA are a poor source (where do they get their info from?) they take a position usually based on not very much if they happen to be right they are heros if they get it wrong they bury it

Re: Two Russians and a British cop hit by nerve agent in England We did take longer and it might not be acceptable for others but for US citizens it was and the media was not responsible for it, politicians were and so were Americans who for the first time in our lives saw skyscrapers in NY taken down, the Pentagon bombed and a commerical plane taken down. Right or wrong it had a huge effect.

If there’s one thing to be gleaned from the current atmosphere of anti-Russian hysteria in the West, it’s that the US-led sustained propaganda campaign is starting to pay dividends. It’s not only the hopeless political classes and media miscreants who believe that Russia is hacking, meddling and poisoning our progressive democratic utopia – with many pinning their political careers to this by now that’s it’s too late for them to turn back.
As it was with Iraq in 2003, these dubious public figures require a degree of public support for their policies, and unfortunately many people do believe in the grand Russian conspiracy, having been sufficiently brow-beaten into submission by around-the-clock fear mongering and official fake news disseminated by government and the mainstream media.

Re: Two Russians and a British cop hit by nerve agent in England Independent Swiss Lab Says 'BZ Toxin' Used In Skripal Poisoning; US/UK-Produced, Not Russian
Written by Tyler Durden

Well those doubts may well have just been answered as according to the independent Swiss state Spiez lab, the substance used on Sergei Skripal was an agent called BZ, which was never produced in Russia, but was in service in the US, UK, and other NATO states.
Re: Two Russians and a British cop hit by nerve agent in England you omitted this.
Sergei Lavrov said Moscow had received information from a laboratory in Spiez, Switzerland suggesting the Russian double agent and his daughter were exposed to a non-lethal substance known as BZ.
Mr Lavrov said the toxin was not produced in Russia, but was in service in Britain, the United States and other Nato nations.
However, the OPCW did say its scientists had “confirmed the findings of the United Kingdom relating to the identity of the toxic chemical”.
Not a new development, just the same old bullshit from Putin's regime, disinformation. Good try, however the experts have already confirmed the UK's evaluation of the agent used. No mention by Lavrov of which "lab" in Switzerland came to this conclusion or how they obtained a sample.
The international chemical weapons watchdog has confirmed the UK's analysis of the type of nerve agent used in the Russian ex-spy poisoning.
The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons did not name the nerve agent as Novichok, but said it agreed with the UK's findings on its identity.
Russia, which denies it was behind the attack in Salisbury, called the allegations an "anti-Russian campaign".
assuming that the report exists.
1) How did the Swiss lab obtain their sample? Was it supplied via the UK Government?
If it was, why would the UK supply them with a sample of BZ knowing it would shown up?
If it wasn't, how did their scientists slip through the police barriers and collect their own sample.
Or did a phial of BZ turn up anonymously in an envelope with a Москва́ postmark?
2) Why is this report "confidential". Such a report, if it exists, exonerates Russia, and they have no reason to keep the details secret. This is not the same as asking a Russian military laboratory, or Porton Down, to reveal information which may be sensitive. AFAIK the laboratory reported it's findings to the OPCW, and if the OPCW is holding this information back, then surely the Russians also have an issue with the OPCW and it's 192 member states. So let's hear the Swiss confirm the details.
Re: Two Russians and a British cop hit by nerve agent in England I read several articles, mostly all reprints of the same one posted, Spiez lab hasn't admitted anything, it's a charge by Lavrov which is meaningless.
