Based on what I've read and heard on news shows like Sixty Minutes Prince did not know that he getting tablets containing fentanyl instead of vicodin pills. The pills were made to look like authentic vicodin pills but that was not what they were.

Whoever supplied him with fentanyl passing it off as vicodin was essentially committing murder. Sort of like giving someone anti-freeze containing ethylene glycol and telling them its Gatorade.

That is why I get medications from a pharmacy and yes I consider it murder as I do over prescribing at the end of the day legal or illegal people end up dead. It can be compared to you hire a hit man or I'm the driver in a bank robbery and the teller is killed, I also will be spending jail time co responsibility except in the case of Jackson and others who end up dead

That covers lawmakers as well as a lot of presidents. If it were true then Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin Roosevelt had a lot of idiotic ideas.

Yes, it's important to get medications from a pharmacy. Of course if people who need strong pain medication are denied a prescription they may try to get prescription medicine from other sources.

It's difficult to see why over prescribing pain medication would qualify as murder unless the patient is not being given adequate warnings about taking too much of the medication. They also need to know about the dangers of mixing it with other depressants. But over prescribing by itself will not result in a patient being killed.

not unless they actually take the drugs.....and the nature of addiction is that consumption grows to meet (exceed) supply

It certainly is part of the problem to get pain medication for pain, street dealers and certain doctors have put us in that place and I
will repeat there is no difference from a street dealer and an MD who over prescribes, as they have the exact same motive $$$$ and both are only interested in making sure that addict comes back

Not hardly. I'm not among those who wanted the government to adopt and enforce the narcotic laws and "war on drugs" and do not agree with those who still do.

I would agree with Mencken that that kind of man had ideas that they wanted the government to adopt and enforce which were truly idiotic. Those ideas have been generating misery in this country for a long time.

If their tolerance to the drug has increased they may need a higher dose and if they do their body can tolerate it. They are still responsible if they take too much of the drug. Avoiding overdose is not that difficult. Neither is avoiding tolerance.
