A Cleveland medical center employee who made multiple anti-Semitic comments on Twitter is no longer working there, the hospital confirmed.

The employee was identified as Lara Kollab
by the Canary Mission, a website that tracks anti-Semitic comments online. She worked at the hospital as a supervised resident from July to September 2018.

“She is no longer working at Cleveland Clinic. In no way do these beliefs reflect those of our organization,” The Cleveland Clinic said in a statement Monday. “We fully embrace diversity, inclusion and a culture of safety and respect across our entire health system.”

In January 2012, Kollab tweeted “ill (sic) purposely give all the yahood (Jews) the wrong meds,” the Canary Mission reported. She also wrote calling for Allah to end the lives of the Jews “so we stop being forced to go to those unclean ones.”

“I don't mean to sound insensitive but I have a REALLY hard time feeling bad about Holocaust seeing as the ppl who were in it now kill my ppl,” she tweeted in October 2012.

Dozens of other messages on her page reportedly called for violence against Jewish people, spread anti-semitic messages, diminished the Holocaust and compared Israel to Nazi Germany.

She has since deactivated her Twitter account.

Kollab’s medical license expires in June 2021, according to state records.

I don't find that surprising, what I do is she cut her nose to spite her face as others are still doing on social media. She was a medical school grad doing her residency. How after all the busts on politicians, corruptions in business to cheating spouses to whinging about your job, you loose a career over what you posted, stuuuuuupid! Intellectually persons are far smarter today but common sense, is there something in our water?

Expecting a Muslim to act wisely is sort of like expecting birds to stop pooping on cars. Their religion is not conducive to wisdom or rational behaviour.

It's much more likely to result in anger and vocal opposition to imaginary enemies of Islam.

Working with Muslims as doctors and nurses, you by your incendiary post has seriously pissed me off, you don't know what you are talking about! I'd mind that, if I were you.

I realized after writing that gross generalization that it might be a little bit too harsh towards Muslims, especially ones in America who don't live under an Islamic government. It certainly reads too harsh. As I've stated before Muslims are just as much victims of their religion as victimizers on occasion because of it.

It's Islam that is the problem. Plenty of Muslims are nice people. One of the nicest people I encountered in a discussion forum was a Muslim. But their faith is anything but a nice religion. It generates far too much conflict in the world.

Bias and hate speech aren't the sole province of Muslims (or of islam in general) as Philer proves every time s/he posts about religion.

Phineas Priesthood

emphasis added

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Phineas Priesthood or Phineas Priests (also spelled Phinehas) are American domestic terrorists who follow the ideology set forth in the 1990 book, Vigilantes of Christendom: The Story of the Phineas Priesthood by Richard Kelly Hoskins.[1]

Ideology and activity

The ideology set forth in Hoskins' book includes Christian Identity beliefs which oppose interracial relationships, the mixing of races, homosexuality, and abortion. It is also marked by anti-Semitism, and anti-multiculturalism.

According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), "Many people mistakenly believe that there is an actual organization called the Phineas Priesthood, probably because there was a group of four men in the 1990s who called themselves Phineas Priests. The men carried out bank robberies and a series of bombings in the Pacific Northwest before being sent to prison. But there is no evidence that their organization was any larger than those four individuals."

The Phineas Priesthood is not considered an organization because it is not led by a governing body, its members do not hold gatherings, and it does not have a membership process.

One simply becomes a Phineas Priest by adopting the Priesthood's beliefs and acting upon them. Adherents of the Phineas Priesthood ideology are considered terrorists because among other things, their crimes include numerous abortion clinic bombings in 1996, the 1996 bombing of The Spokesman-Review newspaper in Spokane, bank robberies, and plans to blow up FBI buildings.[2] Four members of this organization were convicted of crimes including bank robbery and bombing, with each sentenced in 1997 and 1998 to life in prison.[3]

On November 28, 2014, 49-year-old Larry Steven McQuilliams fired more than 100 rounds at a federal courthouse, a Mexican consulate building (which he also tried to set on fire), and a police station in Austin, Texas; he was killed by return fire from police.[4] A copy of Hoskins' book was found in McQuilliams' home.[5]

Name

The Phineas Priesthood is named for the Israelite Phinehas, grandson of Aaron (Numbers 25:7). According to Numbers 25, Phineas personally executed Zimri, an Israelite man, and a Midianite woman while they were together in the man's tent, running a spear through the two and ending a plague sent by God to punish the Israelites for intermingling sexually and religiously with the Midianite Baal-worshipers. Phineas is commended for having stopped Israel's fall to idolatrous practices brought in by Midianite women, as well as for stopping the desecration of God's sanctuary. Yahweh commends Phineas through Moses as zealous, gives him a "covenant of peace," and grants him and "his seed" an everlasting priesthood. This passage was cited in Hoskins' book as a justification for using violent means against interracial relationships and other forms of alleged immorality.

I believe I may have been a little extreme in generalizing about Muslim people but my comments about Islam itself are not hate speech. Nor is there any bias involved. I just recognize that the religion has no rational basis and that it causes problems for Muslims. It initiates them into an irrational way of thinking and sustains that way of thinking. By doing that it provides them with a false sense of morality that leads to problems.

We have the right to criticize religions and religious beliefs just like political views. Often the two are related. The notion that religions are off limits to criticism or that being critical of them is hate speech is politically correct nonsense.
