Justin Trudeau's black face antics
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been taken to task for his questionable decision to portray black people by wearing black face. Some have even claimed that this lapse in judgment indicates he isn't qualified to be Prime Minister.
Was it that serious a mistake or just the goofy antics of a Canadian guy who wasn't thinking too clearly?

Does that include white face? I noticed that Kendall didn't mention that particular color of face.
So are two black men wearing white face offensive, as in the film White Chicks? In that film Marlon and Shawn Wayans portray young white women while wearing quite a bit of white face make up. There was no public outcry over that or at least, nothing like what hit the fan when Trudeau's black face was discovered.

Don't know much about white face except the movie "White Chicks' black face was accepted in "tropic Thunder,'." Most white actors have portrayed Othello in black face. The issue seems to come with dressing in costume for a party nowadays. He is going on 48 this was in his 20's and as a teen, future history of his life shows he is not a racist. If Trumps worst sin was dressing black face in his 20's, I'd be thrilled.

I agree. This appears to be pretty much another tempest in a tea pot. I doubt that Trudeau is a horrible racist or someone unqualified to be the Prime Minister of Canada.

I find this subject rather over-stressed. You probably know that my skin colour is darkest brown and I don't mind honkies colouring their faces black

No matter the race or ethnicity and so on, I make my calls on how those groups think. If something is offensive to a group, and it's no skin off my nose, I have no problem complying. Whether black, brown, Asian, gay.... there is those who don't care how they are portrayed to only black, brown, Asian, gay....should play black, brown, Asian gay.....
