I couldn't get the image but the Old Testament is Jewish and Christianity at least follows the first century of Judaism and is acknowledged by Christians, probably why certain Christians finally got over their Jew hatred. There are hundreds to thousands of "Christian religions" they take what they want out of the Bible or like the govt. finally calling Scientology a religion, then there is the Jim Jones or Rashneesh in Oregon or Westboro church, Is there a time you clamp persons religious beliefs?

Religions can comfort people but believing things which don't make sense is probably not the best way to find comfort. Believing that some guy like Mohammed out in the middle of nowhere got a special message from God and that you should accept his leadership are not sensible things to believe.

Good question. Any religion that is dependent on the notion that some solitary man received a divine message from God is not going to be something which other people should follow.

Actually a few of them are not religious, murder, adultery, stealing, should make the moral list of humans and no doubt not all parents should be honored but most parents do deserve respect. This is my cherry picking, I think most the Bible is bollocks but along the way there were a handful here and there that you could actually call "Christian." Neither do I think it is important where words like, charity, compassion, non judgemental, tolerance, etc. came from , what is important is that you practice them. It doesn't matter what religion you are all of them all send this message, the trouble with most of them, the leaders don't want them to know and followers, well we see the repercussions of that. One of those repercussions is both Christian and Jewish have lost followers by the millions of practicing their faith both far older than Islam but far less than most people think.
