An excellent and very true response, GoHawk.

I don't understand this idea that says if the Dems had just run someone I would have liked, I wouldn't have voted for the zero experience, racist, misogynistic, egotistical, narcissistic, rich guy.

But a lot of them couldn't actually bring themselves to vote for the Tweetler but effectively did so by voting for a third party or not voting at all.

The voters that cause this disaster of president Trump live in 3 or 4 states.

Just a reminder that certain Americans were willing to vote for the guy that said;

“It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. ... Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.”

Think about that.

The only way I would have voted forTrump, would have been if his platform had a detailed plan, schedule, and proposed funding source for fixing the farm to market roads in northern Fayette county. In particular the.three mile stretch from my farm out to the blacktop (highway 150). And that funding source could not be the revenue from my wife's speeding tickets.

Yes, and 53 percent of white women were willing to vote for such a character. They turned against one of their own to vote for him.

Black people who voted for Obama in huge numbers were a lot more loyal to someone who represented them and their interests than white women were.

People did not vote for Trump, but tried to vote against the strangle hold a single gang has over the US.
Whether or not Trump seems worse or not, that rebellion that voted in Trump will make this a better country, by stopping that evil and effective influence that had taken over.
If nothing else, it will be much harder for any president to do the kind of abuses that Bush got away with for example.

No it won't because it has become a single gang. The Presidency, the House and the Senate (maybe even the Supreme Court) are now in the hands of a single party. They can operate with impunity with no checks and balances whatsoever.

One thing is dead certain, four years from now the United States will not be recognizable as the country it is today. I don't know how they will do it but, if they find some way to follow the pattern of gerrymandering and vote suppression their State cousins have employed, any semblance of anything other than single party rule will have disappeared.

All that is America's problem. My concern is how to keep the negative aspects of the right wing dominion from expending beyond its borders.

Within the two branches of that single party are a few splinters of differing opinions.

It is the duty of thinking Americans to sort out this one party state and have it return to some sort of democracy.

Well said, Jim.

The damage that Trump and the Republicans will do will be real.

Not all actions taken by our government are easily reversible, if they can be reversed at all.
