That would have been difficult since he'd already been murdered. Some folks weren't at all upset by it though. A lack of respect for people is a very big factor in generating both murder and tolerance of it afterwards.

How do you know there was a conspiracy? Just helping someone cover up a crime afterwards doesn't prove that they were involved in a conspiracy to commit the murder in the first place.

How much respect did this society in general show him? He was a high ranking official of the KKK. He certainly hasn't received a lot of respect here on this forum with some folks being almost happy about his murder.
Also, it apparently wasn't Malissa who shot and killed him.
I certainly wouldn't wish him dead but asking for respect for a "high ranking" official of the KKK, isn't gonna happen. Nor do I feel grief, human I am.

His murder bothered me a little because I figured he was just a relatively dumb guy who was foolishly involved in the klan. I don't believe he deserved to be murdered but of course I could be wrong about that.

We can't excuse that behavior by just claiming a person is "dumb." He was the founder and his group that consisted of 10,000 members and had been KKK for 30 years. I don't think he was dumb at all, Trump dumb but not I'm mentally disabled dumb.

Good point and I'm not trying to excuse his behavior. What I was getting at is that his irrational racism by itself didn't justify his murder and doesn't really make that murder significantly less serious.
In other words we shouldn't be even the slightest bit happy or unconcerned that he was murdered.

He wasn't murdered for the racism, looks like a domestic to me and it made the papers because of who he was, otherwise we probably wouldn't have known at all.
