I've ramped up the font size, but still can barely read the posts, and the Forum page itself only takes up about 2/3 for the screen.

To increase the size of everything (text and images) on a page:

Hold the "Ctrl" key and press the "+" key to zoom in (press "-" to zoom out) or
Mouse

Open the "View" menu, select "Zoom," and then select "Zoom In", or
If you have a mouse with a wheel, hold the "Ctrl" key on the keyboard and then scroll the wheel up to zoom in (scroll down to zoom out)

But of course one can also always decrease the whole screen resolution. That will make everything on the screen larger, but also videos will look rougher.

Rigby: Is there any way that you are aware of to increase the number of posts on the board? There is around 20 at the moment and I would like to double that if possible?

I don't really know, but it appears that Runboard relies heavily on Cascading Style Sheets, (CSS).
If you are unfamiliar with CSS, they are an addition to html about a decade ago, that allow formats to be defined in detail, and they referred to by name, so that it is easier to maintain a consistent set of templates.

Here is something I found in response to a question about how the font size could be increased.

{...
You change the font size in the CSS section of the control panel.

1) Click on "Control Panel" (http://bconstitutionaldefenders.runboard.com/control_panel)
2) Find: You have special access to these boards: *
* If you only have one board, then it will be the only one on the list. If you have more than one board, select the board you want to set up.
3) Click "Manage"
4) Find & Click on "Edit Layout / Colors of Your Board"
5) Find & Click on "Manage Custom Style Sheet (CSS)"
6) If you know what you're doing, then you need no further help. But, if you're like me, and don't know enough about CSS to make the changes yourself, you will need to wait on Lesa or Pastor Rick to give you further instructions.
...
Crogin, the fastest way would be to paste all of your CSS (follow the path that Jox gave you) into Notepad (Notepad++ would actually be faster, because it would replace them all at once, but regular Notepad is already installed on your computer if you use Windows), then use Ctrl+H to find and replace the following text:

Change:
font-size:10px
to:
font-size:12px
(31 occurrences)

Change:
font-size:9px
to:
font-size:11px
(1 occurrence)

Feel free to use an even bigger font size than 12px and 11px. There might be some text that's left unchanged, in which case Pastor Rick or I can look at the class names for the ones that are still too small.

Edit to add: If you'd like, I can do this for you. I'll be online for a few hours tonight, but my next opportunity to do it will be about 24 hours from now.
...}

This last part was from the top person:

{...
Lesigner Girl
Global Administrator
Global user (premium)
Head of Runboard staff
...}

Here is the link to where I read it:

http://bakheva.runboard.com/t16813

So I could post a question there I think, which could be to get detailed instructions, or it is likely they would be willing to do it for you since it is so easy for them.

I see a table is used for the list of topics:

{...
<table cellspacing="1" class="topic_list_table" width="100%" border="0" bordercolor="#ffffff"><tbody>
...}

The class, "topic_list_table" is what one would look for in the CSS file.

Just to be sure I understand correctly, the idea is to increase the number of topics you see on each page?
Right now I think it is 21, and there are 5 pages you can select from.
If it were increased to 40, then one would only need to choose between 3 pages of topics, so they would not be forgotten as quickly?

Our old board managed to have many more threads on the main page. I wonder if that is possible here. I looked for something in controls but couldn't find anything but I'am no computer whiz.

I put in a feature request.
I added a link to our discussion, so they will see what you want, and that it is you who want it.
We will see if they just tell us how to do it, or do it for us, or tell us it can't be done?
If they just tell us how, then I may need moderator privileges again in order to do it.
Depends on how they reply.
